Pickering SC Announces New Staff Member and Program
Pickering, ON – Pickering Soccer Club (PSC) is pleased to announce a new staff member to lead a new program. Tammy Lyle-Gravlev has been hired as the In Motion Program Coordinator for the Government of Ontario-funded initiative.
Tammy brings a wealth of experience in supporting older adults and seniors to the PSC, having previously worked and volunteered for the Ontario Senior Games Association. She has also coordinated similar programs with the Town of Ajax as well as the Kingston Military Sports Centre. Her practical experience is built on a foundation of Recreation and Leisure Services as well as Therapeutic Recreation education.
“I look forward to this opportunity in working with the Pickering Soccer Club team and its members,” said Lyle-Gravlev. “I’m excited to better serve the community and provide options for older adults and seniors to remain active and age well,” she continued.
“We are extremely happy to have Tammy on board and this initiative in place,” stated Adriano Lamberti, Marketing and Communications spokesperson for PSC. “Now that we offer an older adults program, the PSC can boast being an ‘active for life’ club with programming from grassroots to seniors,” he added.
The In Motion pilot project is generously funded by the Ontario Sport and Recreation Communities Fund on a two year term. It is designed to help those aged 55+ to enter or re-enter an active lifestyle through various leisurely activities, speaking engagements and social events.
