Club statement regarding the 2019 Men’s and Women’s DUFA programs.

20.12.2018 – Pickering Soccer Club, as License Holder for the Durham United Football Alliance (DUFA), are excited and very pleased to confirm our return to League One Ontario Men’s action in 2019.

Pickering Soccer Clubs Player Pathway will now return to a full complement of programs and teams that enables any player, with the desire and talent, to move seamlessly through from Grassroots to development and on to high performance experience with League One Ontario. The alignment of L1O with the new Canadian Premier League is something that has already captured the interest of many talented male players in the Club and putting this men’s team back in place will provide our players with the competition they deserve.

2018 was another great year for our Women’s program culminating in the League Championship – our 2nd title in 4 years. At the 2018 Year End Awards Gala DUFA staff also captured; Coach of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Defender of the Year and two honorable mentions. We aspire to now meet that success on the male side.

The Board would like to extend their gratitude to League One Ontario Commissioner Dino Rossi and his team for working diligently with us during this past year.

The Club will be announcing try-out dates and program details early in 2019 as well as the Men’s Head Coach.
